Our first low-carbon island house is in the making. The 3-storey solid timber structure is a little bit of an outsider on the island, where the local construction industry relies entirely on reinforced concrete for a structural frame. Defying the status quo has been challenging, and would not have been possible without a talented team of builders from Thailand, Myanmar and the UK. Our topping-out party can be seen on the picture below.
